Gathering dust: Loffelijk ontslag

On Saturdays I rummage through my old cabinet, pull out and dust off an item, and present it here on Roots. Today: The elementary school certificate of Hendrik van Kampen (1912-1997).

Loffelijk ontslag (honorary discharge) from elementary school of my grandfather Hendrik van Kampen.

The certificate states that my grandfather properly finished elementary school and that he zich door vlijt en goed gedrag heeft onderscheiden, distinguished himself by diligence and conduct.

The school he went to was the Wilhelmina school, then at the Koningsstraat in Hilversum. The school still exists, but now at a different location.
